Snow buddies needed in Brant

The weather outside may be frightful this winter but Brant County is getting prepared.

The County is encouraging those 12 and older to become a Snow Buddy to a senior or someone in need.

Recreation Coordinator Stephanie Delaronde says a record number of residents are requesting help to shovel driveways and sidewalks and the County needs your help.

She says Snow Buddies may receive volunteer hours or a small fee for the snow removal.

Under Brant’s Snow Removal By-Law, residents could be fined if the municipality has to clear away and remove snow and ice.

To sign up to be a Snow Buddy, please contact Stephanie Delaronde, Recreation Coordinator for the County of Brant at 519.442.1818 orStephanie.delaronde@brant.ca.
