Attempted ATM theft in Brantford

Thieves attempted to steal an ATM from a Brantford convenience store.

The store, located at Brantwood and Powerline Road, sustained an unknown amount of damage.

The culprits smashed windows and ripped apart the framing.

A witness says the ATM was still at the store.

A number of ATM’s have been stolen in the region recently – from Port Rowan to Stoney Creek.

Provincial Police say businesses may want to consider whether it’s worth the risk to have an ATM in their store.
