Brant faces $3-million in bridge repairs

Brant County faces 3-million dollars for bridge repairs and replacements next year.

The public works department’s budget to council includes six priority projects like the Anderson Bridge on Lynden Road, near Johnson Road.

Public Works Chairman, Councillor Brian Coleman, says many of the bridges were built in the late 1940’s to 1960’s and need to be replaced or upgraded.

He says the province needs to step up to the plate to help pay for the projects rather than county taxpayers.
