Brant garbage pickup delays ending

Garbage and recycling collection remains delayed in Brant County but there is an end in sight.
The County says normal waste collection resumes Monday.
The County is asking residents to place their trash in a cleared area near the end of their driveway, due to the snow.
The curbside limit has been increased to eight bags until January 19th.

Collection area completed last week. Next collection date is Monday, January 15, 2018.

Tuesday Collection Area

Collection area completed today. Next collection date is Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

Wednesday Collection Area

Tuesday, January 9, 2018 and continue into Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

Thursday Collection Area

Wednesday, January 10, 2018 and continue into Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Friday Collection Area

Thursday, January 11, 2018 and continue into Friday, January 12, 2018.

Additional important information:

· Due to the anticipated snow fall, please place your waste in a cleared area near the end of your driveway. This will allow plows to continue to push back snow banks and keep roads cleared.

· The curbside set out limit is increased to eight bags until January 19, 2018.

· Up to eight regular curbside household waste containers and unlimited recyclable materials can be taken to the landfill or transfer station, at no cost, until January 19, 2018.

· Christmas tree collection dates will be posted on Friday, January 12, 2018.

· Christmas trees can be taken to the transfer station and landfill at no charge.

The Paris Waste Transfer and Recycling Station, located at 40 Railway Street, Paris, is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Biggars Lane Landfill Site, located at 128 Biggars Lane East of Mount Pleasant, is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
