Brant residents urged to be storm ready

With a winter storm starting Friday afternoon,Brant County Roads Crews are urging residents to do their part.

There are several things that residents can do to help.

Firstly, to not park your vehicles on the road, as it slows down plowing and doesn’t allow for effective road clearing.

The County bylaw also prohibits citizens from depositing snow or ice upon a sidewalk or the roadway and a violation of this bylaw could result in a fine.

Initially, Environment Canada was forecasting 10-15 cm but snowfall amounts have been revised to 2-4 cm, but there is a risk of freezing rain as the rain transitions into snow tomorrow afternoon.
