Brantford ratepayers can have their say about the 2019 budget.
The City says in an ongoing effort to engage the public in the budget planning process, residents are invited to take part in a survey on its website, Facebook and Twitter social media pages.
The Estimates Committee is scheduled to meet between January 21st and the 30th, followed by three budget deliberation meetings on February 4, 6 and 11th.
The budget is expected to finalized February 13th.
The Estimates Committee faces a series of challenging decisions this year including Brantford Police needs, increased WSIB contributions, financial pressures as a result of the City’s boundary expansion, significant infrastructure needs and enhanced ambulances services approved by Brant County.
Spokesperson Maria Visocchi says City staff continue to work diligently to find efficiencies to manage the financial impact of these pressures while maintaining a high level of service to citizens.
