Brantford police officer charged with sex-related offences

A 14 year member of the Brantford Police Service has been charged with communicating for the purposes of obtaining sexual services from a person under 18 years.

41-year-old Detective Constable Andrew Balog has been suspended with pay, as per the guidelines set out in the Police Services Act of Ontario.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Brantford on April 25th.

As the matter is currently before the court, Brantford Police Service will not be releasing any further information in regards to this incident.
