A speedskater, gymnast, and minor peewee baseball team are among the nominees for the Cambridge Sports Awards.
The 45th annual event, which pays tribute to the area’s finest athletes and organizations, goes Friday, November 2nd at City Hall.
Award categories include Team of the Year, High School Team of the Year, Sports Organization of the Year, Athlete of the Year and Sports Contributor of the Year.
This year’s master of ceremonies and keynote speaker will be freelance sports journalist, Paul Gains who’s covered five summer Olympic Games and 11 International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Track and Field championships.
