Canadian Mental Health Week 2018

Mental health is about more than mental illness. It’s more than being happy all the time. It’s about feeling good about who you are, having balance in your life, and managing life’s highs and lows. Everyone deserves to feel well, whatever their mental health experience. And we all need a support system to lean on.

In this edition of “In Conversation With…” host Rob Curwain welcomes Lill Petrella from the CMHA & Brook Gardner from Woodview Mental Health & Autism Services to our CKPC studio. Together they discuss the importance of Mental Health Awareness & what local events are planned for Canadian Mental Health Week.

Topics discussed in this program include: What is the purpose of Canadian Mental Health Week? When did it start and why is it important? Is the stigma surrounding mental health changing? What local events do you have planned throughout the week? And much more.
