Coyote sightings on rise in Cambridge

The warm weather brings everyone out, including Wiley E. Coyote.

Numerous sightings have been reported in Churchill Park in Cambridge and one woman’s 15-year-old Jack Russell is recovering after a coyote attack.

The coyote, believed to be the mother, chased the dog and his owner after two pups came out of the woods on Sunday.

The city has contacted the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and says a qualified professional may remove the coyotes from Churchill Park and relocate them to another area.

Officials say people should use caution if they’re near Churchill Park.
