Gas prices up 2-cents

Gas prices range from $1.15-$1.31 a litre as of 4 a-m.

Prices are up 2-cents a litre this morning to an average of $1.30 a litre.

Brantford, Brant:  $1.20-$1.31

Hamilton: $1.15-$1.27

Burlington/Milton/Oakville/Mississauga: $1.20-$1.31

Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph: $1.16-$1.31

Welland-Niagara Falls-Thorold-St. Catharines-Grimsby: $1.17-$1.31

Simcoe, Caledonia: $1.17-$1.26

Tillsonburg, Ingersoll, Woodstock: $1.20-$1.25

London: $1.17- $1.24

Crude oil is unchanged at $60.43 per barrel.

The Canadian dollar is trading at 76.79 cents, up from yesterday’s close of 76.51 cents U-S.

Investors are hoping Canada’s main stock index will bounce back to end the trading week on a high note, after closing down on Thursday.

Toronto’s S&P/TSX composite index slipped 35.39 points to 16,527.90

In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average closed above 27,000 for the first time, jumping 227.88 points to 27,088.08.

The S&P 500 index was up 6.84 points at 2,999.91, while the Nasdaq composite fell 6.49 points to 8,196.04.
