Gas prices up a cent

Gas prices are up one cent, ranging from $1.15 to $1.29 a litre as of 4:00 this morning.

Brantford, Brant, Hamilton: $1.15-$1.29

Burlington: $1.17-$1.29

Milton:  $1.20-$1.29

Oakville, Mississauga: $1.17-$1.29

Kitchener-Waterloo: $1.16-$1.29

Cambridge: $1.14-$1.29

Welland-Niagara Falls-Thorold-St. Catharines-Grimsby: $1.19-$1.25

Simcoe: $1.22

Dunnville: $1.20

Tillsonburg: $1.24

Woodstock/Ingersoll: $1.20-$1.24

London: $1.14-$1.21

Crude Oil is down 32 cents at $63.87 per barrel.

The Canadian dollar is trading overseas this morning at 74.83 cents U-S.

Canada’s main stock index moved higher as the election of a conservative government in Alberta helped to support the energy sector despite lower crude prices, says a market observer.

The S&P/TSX composite index closed up 42.04 points at 16,544.24.

In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was down 3.12 points at 26,449.54.

The S&P 500 index was down 6.61 points at 2,900.45, while the Nasdaq composite was down 4.15 points at 7,996.08.
