Gas prices up a cent today, two cents Saturday

Gas prices range from $1.16 to $1.30 a litre as of 4:30 this morning. The average price of $1.29 per litre is up a cent from Thursday according to ontariogasprices.com.  Prices are also expected to rise another 2 cents Saturday.

Brantford, Brant:  $1.17-$1.29

Hamilton: $1.16-$1.29

Burlington: $1.22-$1.29

Milton: $1.18-$1.29

Oakville: $1.19-$1.29

Kitchener-Waterloo: $1.18-$1.30

Cambridge:  $1.16-$1.30

Welland-Niagara Falls-Thorold-St. Catharines-Grimsby: $1.25-$1.29

Simcoe: $1.27

Dunnville: $1.25

Tillsonburg: $1.22

Woodstock: $1.19-$1.23

London: $1.16-$1.23

The Canadian dollar is trading overseas this morning at 74.21 cents U-S.

Major North American indices made gains yesterday as investors felt geopolitical tensions started to ease.

Toronto’s S-and-P / T-S-X gained 125.72 points to close at 16,443.86.

In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average gained 214.66 points to 25,862.68.

And the Nasdaq rose 75.90 points to 7,898.05.
