GoFundMe page set up for injured Hagersville girl

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family of a four-year-old girl who remains in a coma following a crash in Hagersville.

Police say Maeve Elizabeth Field was hit by a vehicle that suddenly accelerated in reverse on Main Street as her family left the local hardware store on Saturday. According to the GoFundMe page, Maeve has suffered extensive, life-threatening injuries.

The page says she is currently in critical yet stable condition in an induced coma and has endured over 20 hours in the operating room undergoing multiple surgeries, with more on the horizon.

The money raised by the GoFundMe campaign is meant to help her parents offset Maeve’s medical bills and expenses.  (Rob Curwain)
