Human remains discovered in Cambridge

Waterloo Police say human remains have been found at a home on Riverbank Drive, south of the Grand River, in Cambridge.

Foul play is not suspected.

Just after 2:00 pm on Tuesday, police received a call from the homeowners saying they had discovered some human remains while some excavation was taking place on their property.

Both a forensic archaeologist and anthropologist were on scene and confirmed the remains to be that of a human.

The investigation is ongoing with both the WRPS and a forensic archaeologist.

It is unknown how long the remains have been there.
