Roads closed, detour in place, result of protest

Brantford, Brant County and the OPP say they’re working to ensure the safe flow of traffic, as a result of today’s protest.

Brantford’s Director of Communications, Maria Visocchi says the first and foremost priority is maintaining the operations of the city while ensuring the health and safety of residents.

Several roads are closed:

County of Brant: 1) Newport Road and River Road 2) Mt. Pleasant Road and Phelps Road 3) Old Greenfield Road and Cockshutt Road 4) Sour Springs Road and Cockshutt Road 5) Brant County Road #18 and Highway #54

City of Brantford:  1) Tutela Heights and Davern Road 2) Erie Avenue and Birkett Lane.

The City has a detour at Burtch and Mt. Pleasant Road.
