School board budget up $7-million

Grand Erie District School Board trustees have sealed the deal on a new budget

They approved a more than $351-million operating and capital plan last (Monday) night, which the board says is up 2.2 per cent or 7-million dollars.

Projected enrolment of 25,707 is down by 463 students from 2017-2018.

Treasurer Rafal Wysznski says while the next year will be challenging in many ways, they will ensure that its focus continues to be on student achievement, fiscal responsibility and the goals identified in the Board’s Multi-Year Plan.
