Teens build toilet paper fort, sleep inside Simcoe store

Norfolk County OPP say two teens tried to recreate a prank they saw on the Internet by hiding out in store overnight — but things didn’t quite go as planned.

Police say the 13-year-old girl and 16-year-old-boy went to a Queensway East Simcoe store last Monday evening where they managed to build a fort out of toilet paper without anyone noticing.

They say the two later hid in their fort and fell asleep there after the store closed.

When they were awakened early Tuesday morning by employees restocking shelves the two locked themselves in a store washroom.

Police were called and officers escorted the “remorseful” teens home to their parents.

Police say no charges were laid at the store’s request.
