McColeman, Bouma, City, condemn mosques attack

The area’s political leaders are denouncing the attacks on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, that have claimed at least 49 lives and injured more than 40.

MP Phil McColeman says there is no place for these horrific attacks or the hatred that fuels them.

He says his thoughts are with the families of those lost in #Christchurch and with the Muslim community of Brantford-Brant as they gather for prayer today.

MPP Will Bouma says it is with a heavy heart that he heard about the recent attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.

He says it is in the strongest terms that he condemns these attacks on innocent people while they were gathered quietly in worship and prayer

And the city  says #Brantford joins cities around the world in strongly condemning today’s horrific and senseless attack on Muslim worshippers at Christchurch in New Zealand, and send our deepest sympathies to the victims of this terrible tragedy and their families.
