Brant County is encouraging those 12 and older and adults to consider being a Snow Buddy.
Southern Ontario has dodged a big hit from old man winter, but that may be about to change starting this weekend.
Brant’s Recreation Coordinator, Sarah Dredge, says they have a record number of citizens requesting help shoveling driveways and walkways.
She says Snow Buddies are matched with a resident in their neighbourhood and may receive volunteer hours or a small fee for snow removal.
Enforcement and Regulatory Supervisor Greg Bergeron says last year, the Snow Buddies Program was a great success, helping foster many important community relationships.
