A Waterloo carpet plant is one of two being closed by Tarkett North America.
Seventy employees will be laid off when the Johnsonite Canada plant on Weber Street North is shuttered and work is transferred to Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Two-hundred and forty employees of the Tarkett plant in Truro, Nova Scotia, will also lose their jobs on July 16th when work is moved to Dalton, Georgia.
Hundreds of workers will soon be without jobs following the closure of a Truro, Nova Scotia, carpet plant, one of the city’s oldest operating manufacturers.
In a statement to employees, Tarkett North America called it a “business decision related to the sustainability of operations” and the future of the company. (@TarkettGroup)
