Gas prices down a cent

Gas prices are down about a cent a litre overnight, ranging  from $1.04 to about $1.20 cents a litre as of 4:00 this morning.

Brantford/ Brant: $1.04-$1.18

Hamilton: $1.05-$1.20

Burlington/Milton: $1.09-$1.18

Oakville: $1.07-$1.18

Kitchener-Waterloo:  $1.07

Cambridge: $1.04-$1.08

Welland-Niagara Falls-Thorold-St. Catharines-Grimsby: $1.07-$1.14

Simcoe: $1.14

Delhi: $1.11

Caledonia: $1-06-$1.13

Woodstock: $1.10

Tillsonburg: $1.14

London: $1.03-$1.09

The world price of oil is down 89 cents per share at US$62.21 per barrel.

That’s the lowest level since April 6th.

North American markets all closed higher yesterday as the prospect of increased gridlock in Washington, D-C, didn’t seem to phase investors.  The S-and-P/T-S-X composite index closed up 75.01 points to 15,292.71.

In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average gained 173.31 points to 25,635.01. The Nasdaq composite was up 47.11 points at 7,375.96.

In Tokyo this morning, the Nikkei is down 61.95 points at 22,085.80.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index is up 26.73 points at 26,147.69.

And the Canadian dollar is trading overseas this morning at 76.27 cents U-S.
