Gas prices remain at $1.25/litre

Gas prices range from $1.12-$1.33 a litre. 

The average price remains at around $1.25 a litre.

Brantford, Brant:  $1.16-$1.25

Burlington and Waterdown: $1.19-$1.25

Milton, Oakville and Mississauga: $1.18-$1.25

Kitchener-Waterloo: $1.14-$1.28

Cambridge:  $1.12-$1.25

Welland-Niagara Falls-Thorold-St. Catharines-Grimsby: $1.17-$1.27

Simcoe: $1.22

Dunnville: $1.24

Tillsonburg: $1.18

Woodstock: $1.19-$1.33

London: $1.15-$1.25

The Canadian dollar is trading overseas this morning at 74.39 cents U-S, up two -100ths of a cent from Friday’s average value of 74.37.

Benchmark U-S crude is down 34 cents this morning to $58.29 U-S per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The July contract gained 72 cents in trading Friday to settle at $58.63.

Canada’s main stock index ended a two-day skid as a flash of optimism on trade lifted oil prices, but not enough to prevent the worst week for crude this year.

The S&P/TSX composite index closed up 65.43 points to 16,230.04.

In New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 95.22 points at 25,585.69.
