Raptors celebrations mostly peaceful

While celebrations were mostly peaceful, Toronto Police are investigating a shooting in the Yonge-Gould Streets area overnight, though it’s not clear if it’s connection to the Raptors victory.

Thousands of fans flooded the streets to celebrate Canada’s first NBA championship.

A police sergeant says at least 10,000 people descended on the Yonge-Dundas area and while two police cruisers, a bus shelter and several special events buses were vandalized, celebrations were otherwise kept under control.

A t-v news cruiser was also damaged.
