Two Brantford residents conned

Two city residents are $2400 poorer after they were conned by fraud artists.

Brantford Police say a 61-year-old woman transferred $800 to China via Western Union, then bought $1,000 in ITune cards to prevent her bank account from being compromised.

She’s received a call Monday from a man identifying himself as an employee at her bank.

On Tuesday, a 51-year-old woman was duped into attending a Money Mart to transfer $600 to India to deal with a bank account that had been hacked.
